Communal violence kills 18 in Nigeria

At least 18 people have been killed in communal clashes in central Nigeria, Report informs, citing AFP.
Nathaniel Ikyur, an official of the Benue State, said that a group of armed Fulani herdsmen attacked the Ukohol village and shot 18 people, including women and children.
The conflict between Fulani herdsmen and farmers has engulfed several states in Nigeria. At the heart of the conflict are disputes over land rights and access to water resources. Sometimes these disputes result in violence and armed clashes.
