Christina Johannesson appointed new Swedish ambassador to Russia

Sweden will get a new ambassador in Russia in the autumn. The Government has appointed Christina Johannesson, previously ambassador in Minsk, to Swedish ambassador in Moscow, according to a press release, Report informs via Sweden Herald.
Currently, Johannesson works with issues concerning the Eastern Partnership with the position as ambassador within the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Previously, she has among other things served at the Consulate General in St. Petersburg, the Embassy in Moscow and at the EU representation in Brussels.
Christina Johannesson takes over the position after Karin Olofsdotter who becomes expedition chief at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
