Tokyo is deviating from the path of peaceful development chosen by Japan after World War II, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said, Report informs referring to TASS.
"Japan is currently deviating from the post-war path of peaceful development, and the risk of repeating the mistakes of history is constantly increasing," he said, adding that Tokyo is constantly adjusting its security policy, seeking to increase its military power, and "exaggerating regional tensions."
He noted that Japan's defense budget has increased significantly over the past 11 years.
"We seriously warn Tokyo that anyone who undermines security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region will certainly encounter widespread resistance and strong opposition from the countries of the region," Wang added.
