Chinese army conducts live-fire exercises on east coast

China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) Eastern Combat Command Zone conducted live-fire exercises on the coast of eastern Fujian province, China Central Television said, Report informs via TASS.

The forces and equipment involved are not made public. The brief report clarifies that tasks related to striking naval targets with guided missiles were being practiced. The published video shows that the fire came from several mobile launchers deployed in one of the eastern regions of Fujian province on the coast.

The purpose of the exercise was to sharpen the combat capabilities of command and enlisted personnel in emergency response to various situations, the statement said.
