China announces its expectations from G20 summit

The Chinese government hopes that the G20 summit in Indonesia will contribute to global food and energy security, the Deputy Foreign Minister of China, Ma Zhaoxu, said at the press conference held at the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China in Beijing, Report informs.

"We expect that the summit will strengthen international cooperation in the fight against the pandemic, contribute to the recovery of the global economy, and play a positive and constructive role in protecting global food and energy security," he said.

The MFA official answered the question about the participation of the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, in the summit: "We will give information about the participation of Chinese officials in the summit at the appropriate time."
