The Government of Chad has appealed to France to withdraw its troops from its territory by January 31, French radio RFI said, Report informs.
It is clarified that this request was received in Paris on December 19. At the same time, a high-ranking French military officer, in a conversation with the broadcaster, said that it was almost impossible to withdraw the entire contingent in seven weeks.
"We are trying to find a solution that would suit both sides," a source close to the Chadian authorities told the radio station.
Other RFI interlocutors added that France has already begun withdrawing its equipment from the African state.
