CEC: 4 candidates approved for early presidential elections in Uzbekistan

Four candidates will take part in the early presidential elections in Uzbekistan.

According to Report’s correspondent sent to Tashkent, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan Zainiddin Nizamkhojayev made the remark at a press conference for international observers and media representatives on the preparation and holding of early presidential elections in Uzbekistan, which will be held on July 9.

The head of the CEC noted that four candidates were eventually approved - Inoyatov Ulugbek Ilyasovich from the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev from the Liberal Democratic Party, Makhmudova Robakhon Anvarovna from the Adolat Social Democratic Party, Abdushukur Khamzayev from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan.

The head of the CEC stated that observers from the OSCE, SCO, TurkPA, OIC will monitor the course of the elections at the polling stations.
