CAGE: France welcomed Palestinian children in a bid to prove its 'neutral' approach to conflict

By welcoming two children from Gaza, France tried to prove its 'neutral' approach to the war in Gaza, according to the monthly report of UK's independent human rights organization CAGE.

Report informs that, according to the information, four years ago, the French government initiated a secretive and draconian Islamophobic policy, swiftly dismantling the foundations of the Muslim community’s autonomy through a calculated persecution.

"The ‘Systematic Obstruction’ policy - largely unknown outside the country, and scarcely understood inside it - amounts to a persecution of Muslims in France, in line with the international law definition of the term."

The latest data was unveiled by Macron in a discreet address back in February 2023.

"Updated data wasn’t publicised in any way as the State wants to avoid any serious public scrutiny," the publication reads.

As of October 2023, 30,034 Muslim-led establishments were harassed by the State, 1,082 establishments were closed down anf 55,914,668 euros were seized.
