At least 37 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, the Qatar-based Al Jazeera television noted citing Gaza’s mass media department, Report informs via TASS.
The death toll continued to grow as Israel intensified its air strikes on the entire territory of the enclave. After resuming its bombing, the Israeli military also launched ground operations in the eastern districts of the southern city of Rafah and the northern suburbs of Gaza City.
In a separate development, Iran’s Tasnim news agency said at least eight Palestinians were killed in an Israeli air strike on northern Gaza.
The massive air strikes targeted residential buildings in the northern city of Jabaliya. At least five of the victims were children.
