Annalena Baerbock: Avoiding further regional escalation must be in everyone’s interest

Annalena Baerbock, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, spoke on the phone with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Report informs.

According to Baerbock’s official X account, the tense situation in the Middle East today was discussed during the phone conversation.

“Avoiding further regional escalation must be in everyone’s interest. We urge all actors in the region to act responsibly and exercise maximum restraint,” the minister wrote on X.
