Air India cancels all flights to Dhaka amid escalating situation in Bangladesh

Air India has announced the immediate cancellation of all scheduled flights to and from Dhaka in response to the escalating situation in Bangladesh, Report informs referring to Financial Express.

This decision comes amid heightened speculation regarding Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s potential arrival in India and a high alert issued by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along the India-Bangladesh border.

“In view of the emerging situation in Bangladesh, we have canceled the scheduled operation of our flights to and from Dhaka with immediate effect. We are continuously monitoring the situation and are extending support to our passengers with confirmed bookings for travel to and from Dhaka with a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation charges.
