40 evacuated from hotels after avalanche hits Japan's Fukishima

Forty people have been evacuated from hotels that were cut off from the surroundings due to an avalanche earlier this week in Fukushima Prefecture of Japan, Report informs via NHK.
People were evacuated by helicopter and transported to Fukushima city.
Currently, 22 people who refused evacuation remain in the hotels. The hotels have water supply, gas supply, and there are sufficient food and water supplies.
An avalanche occurred in Fukushima Prefecture in the morning hours of February 10. No casualties were reported, but the road to the hotels was blocked. As a result of the avalanche, approximately 160 people - hotel staff and guests were isolated from roads and communications.
A second avalanche occurred in the region at noon that day.
