At least 18 people have died, and 243 more have been injured in the mass unrest in Karakalpakstan, the representative of Uzbekistan's general prosecutor's office, Abror Mamatov, said on Monday, Report informs via TASS.
A total of 38 law enforcement officers were among those who sustained injuries and traumas of various severity, Mamatov said.
