Parliamentary diplomacy must prioritize the interests of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, Ziyafat Asgarov, Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis, said during an international roundtable in Baku themed "The Role of Parliaments in Public Diplomacy: The Example of Azerbaijan and Türkiye," Report informs.
Asgarov highlighted that one of the main goals of parliamentary diplomacy is to ensure hybrid security.
He noted, "This issue requires serious attention. Hybrid threats concerning Türkiye and Azerbaijan are particularly significant. We have established a special commission in the Milli Majlis to address this. There are sides who are envious of the friendship between Türkiye and Azerbaijan. Consequently, parliamentary diplomacy should focus on the security of both nations, and laws and decisions should reflect the interests of not only Azerbaijan but also Türkiye."
