It was noted that the relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco are based on mutual respect, and the development of ties in the political sphere was especially emphasized.
The cooperation of the two countries within the framework of international organizations and the provision of mutual support on various platforms were also emphasized.
During the conversation, the role of mutual visits in expanding relations that contribute to the deepening of ties between the two peoples was noted.
At the meeting, it was noted that inter-parliamentary cooperation plays an important role in deepening relations between the two countries.
Gafarova recalled with pleasure her official visit to Morocco, noting that such visits and contacts contribute to the development of relations.
The parties exchanged views on the possibilities of expanding cooperation between deputies and parliamentary committees.
Gafarova provided detailed information on the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, created at the initiative of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and drew attention to the steps taken under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan to strengthen the institutional foundations of the organization.
Sidi Mohamed Ould Rachid noted that Morocco attaches great importance to cooperation within the Parliamentary Network and highly appreciated the contribution of such platforms to resolving international issues.
