Northern Cyprus urges Turkic states to put on joint efforts against hybrid threats

Turkic states must also unite against cross-border natural disasters, illegal migration, and hybrid threats, Yasemin Ozturk, Chairman of the Committee on Law, Political Affairs, Foreign Relations and Defense of the Northern Cyprus Assembly, said at the second meeting of the Turkic States Parliamentary Assembly member states' chairs of parliamentary committees on defense and security held in Baku, Report informs.

Addressing the Turkic states, Ozturk said that the just struggle of Northern Cyprus, which is part of the Turkic world, makes joint action in the field of security even more necessary:

"The role of Northern Cyprus in the Turkic world is an important element and a significant factor for each member country. In this context, the activities of the friendship group established between the parliaments of our countries are commendable."
