Parliament speaker casts her vote in Azerbaijan municipal elections

The Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, has voted at polling station No. 11 of the Narimanov first constituency No. 19.

Report informs that local observers are monitoring the voting process at the polling station. Since the early hours, high voter turnout has been observed at polling station No. 11. There are 1,482 registered voters at the polling station.

The elections are being held in 5,846 polling stations covering 118 electoral districts across the country. Some 16,092 candidates are competing for 8,071 members of 685 municipalities.

According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), 5,961,987 voters have the right to vote in municipal elections.
