Legislation on Azerbaijani armed forces to be amended

Amendments are being made to the legislation on the property and logistical support of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing a proposal to amend Article 9 of the Law "On the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan".

Under the change, the procedure for providing the Azerbaijani army and other armed formations with material and technical means in peacetime and wartime (armed conflict) will be determined by the relevant executive authority.

The current paragraph of the law reads: "The procedure and norm for the need to provide the Armed Forces with material and technical means in peacetime, in conditions of a real threat, during the period of mobilization and wartime (armed conflict) are determined by the relevant executive authority."
