Head of Azerbaijani delegation to OSCE PA to leave for Slovenia

The head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE PA, Azay Guliyev, will visit the Slovenian city of Portoroz on December 6 to participate in the 23rd meeting of the ministerial session of the parties to the Barcelona Convention and Treaty, organized by the UN Environment Program, Report informs referring to the press and public relations department of the Azerbaijani parliament.

During the session, countries’ practices in conserving biodiversity, protecting ecosystems, preventing sea pollution and the legislative framework in this area will be discussed.

Guliyev will speak at the session “Green Transformation: From Decision to Action”, where the resolutions adopted by the OSCE PA on green economy and climate change, and measures to strengthen international cooperation in this direction will be discussed. Guliyev will also talk about the activities of the committee he heads for the coming year.

The Portoroz Ministerial Declaration will be adopted at the end of the event.

Azay Guliyev’s visit will end on December 8.
