Deputy Speaker of National Assembly: Hungary will always remain friend of Azerbaijan

Hungary will always remain a friend of Azerbaijan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Sandor Lezsak said at a special meeting of the Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan) dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Heydar Aliyev is a founder of modern Azerbaijan, Lezsak said adding that it is under Heydar Aliyev's leadership that Azerbaijan achieved stability and embarked on the path of active development.

He noted that with Heydar Aliyev at power, Azerbaijan took an unprecedented path of development.

Oil and gas exports opened new prospects for Azerbaijan, he said.

According to Lezsak, the peoples of Azerbaijan and Hungary view each other as fraternal and trust each other. He said that Azerbaijan can always count on Hungary.

Hungary will always remain a friend of Azerbaijan, he said.

Lezsak said the cooperation between the two countries in economic and energy spheres is at a high level.

Azerbaijan is playing a big role in the energy security of Hungary and Europe, in general, and this role will further increase, he said.

Lezsak noted that the basis and foundation for the current development of Azerbaijan was laid by Heydar Aliyev and is continued successfully by President Ilham Aliyev.
