Azerbaijani parliament speaker to visit Switzerland

A parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova will pay an official visit to the Swiss Confederation on May 9, Report informs.

The delegation includes the head of the Working Group for the Azerbaijani-Swiss Interparliamentary Relations, Hijran Huseynova, MPs Agiya Nakhchivanli, Vahid Ahmadov, Erkin Gadirli, Office Head of Azerbaijani Parliament Safa Mirzeyev and other officials.

During the visit, the speaker of the parliament, Sahiba Gafarova, will meet with the vice president of the country, the Presidents of the National Council and the Council of States of the Swiss Parliament.

The meetings will focus on the current and future development of the inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries, the expansion of cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats and other issues.

The visit will end on May 11.
