Turkish military attaché to Azerbaijan visits Nakhchivan

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov has met with Major General Zakaria Yalcin, Military Attaché of the Turkish Armed Forces to Azerbaijan, Report informs.

The Speaker of the Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly congratulated Yalcin on his appointment to the new post, noting that Azerbaijan-Turkey relations are successfully continuing in the military field.

Speaking about Turkey's fair position on the victory in the Second Karabakh War and the role of the Turkish Armed Forces in army building in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Speaker of the Supreme Assembly said it was the result of friendly and fraternal relations. He stressed that these relations would continue to develop.

The Turkish military attaché thanked Major General Zakaria Yalcin for the warm welcome and expressed satisfaction with his visit to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of brotherly Azerbaijan.

Zakaria Yalcin noted that the two country's presidents have further developed fraternal relations and added the efforts to expand military cooperation would be increased.
