Israel tests laser system that "shoots down" UAVs

The Israeli Defense Ministry has successfully completed the first series of tests of a new powerful laser system that "shoots down" unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Report informs, citing TASS.
"The Defense Ministry's Research and Training Department, together with Elbit Systems and the Israeli Air Force, has successfully destroyed several UAVs using a high-powered laser weapon system (HPL-WS). The UAVs were neutralized at different distances and heights," the ministry's press service noted.
