Chief of General Staff: Land, sea territories and airspace of Azerbaijan are reliably protected

A meeting with the youth of the Azerbaijani Army was held at the Training and Educational Center in Baku with the participation of the personnel of the military units of the Baku garrison, members of the families of martyrs and war veterans, Report informs, citing the Defense Ministry.

The memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and martyrs was honored with a minute of silence.

Speaking at the event, First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev conveyed greetings and congratulations from the Minister of Defense to the participants.

He stressed that it is a great honor for Azerbaijani youth to serve in the Azerbaijani Army and adequately fulfill all the assigned tasks.

“Our young citizens serving in the army, being the leading force in society, are deeply aware of their sacred duty to the Motherland and people. Thanks to the high professionalism of our officers and soldiers serving in the trenches and in combat positions, the territory, sea and airspace of our country are reliably protected,” he said.
