New regional news portal launched in Azerbaijan

A new regional news portal, YURD.MEDIA, has been launched in Azerbaijan, focusing on the socio-economic life of the country's districts.

According to Report, the platform aims to deliver news, in-depth reports, and research from every corner of Azerbaijan, highlighting regional development and local perspectives.

Content on the site is categorized by topic, economic region, and specific cities or districts — offering a structured and comprehensive view of regional affairs.

Murad Aliyev, the portal's founder and editor-in-chief — and formerly the editor at Report — shared the inspiration behind the project:

"The full restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty after the Patriotic War in 2020 and the successful anti-terror operation in September 2023 inspired us to take this step. Following the Great Victory, there is a growing need to spread accurate and complete information about every part of our homeland."

YURD.MEDIA aims to become a voice for Azerbaijan's districts, bringing attention to their stories, growth, and aspirations.
