Chilean journalist: Ilham Aliyev's speech at media forum attracted global attention

The speech of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum attracted the attention of the world community and was widely covered in the international press, the director of the Chilean publication El Periodista, Francisco Martorell, told Report.

According Martorell, the greatest interest was aroused by the statements of the head of state on the investigation of the AZAL plane crash near Aktau, as well as on the progress of peace talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"Yesterday I was fortunate to attend a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev. His speech was rich and comprehensive - he gave an interesting analysis of the geopolitical situation, climate challenges and the international agenda as a whole. I think two key points - filing a lawsuit against Russia in connection with the attack on the plane and getting closer to signing a peace agreement with Armenia - became the subject of analysis in the world press," Martorell noted.

He also shared impressions of his personal communication with the head of state.

"Yesterday, July 19, I had the honor of asking President Ilham Aliyev a question. I inquired about Azerbaijan's relations with Latin America, in particular with Chile, especially in light of the recent visit of the special envoy to my country," he added.
