Baku TV and Report News Agency, both part of Global Media Group, have signed a memorandum of cooperation with one of Kazakhstan's largest and most influential media outlets, the Khabar News Agency, Report informs.

The signing ceremony took place today in Astana.

The document was signed by Baku TV Director Ramin Jafarov, Report's General Director Fuad Huseynaliyev, and Khabar News Agency Chairman of the Board Kemelbek Oishybayev.

The ceremony was attended by Global Media Group Board Member Orkhan Mammadov and Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Aghalar Atamoghlanov.

Speaking at the event, the ambassador emphasized that the new partnership will be an important contribution to the development of media cooperation in the region.

He noted that increased coordination in the media sphere will give additional impetus to the long-standing friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

Khabar's Board Chairman Kemelbek Oishybayev called the agreement an important component in developing strategic cooperation between Azerbaijani and Kazakh media.

"This joint work will create conditions for both the exchange of modern technological solutions in news production and the expansion of content collaboration. This memorandum is an indicator of mutual trust and a sustainable partnership," he said.

Global Media Group Board Member Orkhan Mammadov noted that the agreement between Baku TV, Report, and Khabar opens up new synergies in the information space of the South Caucasus and Central Asia: "This partnership is not only about content exchange but also about expanding professional standards between the leading media outlets of the two countries. Practical results of this cooperation will be noticeable in the near future."

The memorandum provides for the implementation of joint television and media projects, the exchange of news production expertise, the expansion of content exchange, and the development of new formats.

This is the second regional agreement for Baku TV: a month ago, the channel signed a similar memorandum with the Uzbek television channel Uzbekistan 24. The new partnership with the Khabar News Agency continues the strategic line of expanding cooperation in Central Asia.
