Azerbaijan and China mull opportunities for media cooperation in Beijing

The delegation of the Media Development Agency (MEDIA) of Azerbaijan visited Xinhua News Agency as part of its visit to China, Report informs, citing MEDIA.
During a meeting with the leadership of Xinhua News Agency, the Executive Director of MEDIA, Ahmad Ismayilov, said that the signing of the joint statement and other documents on the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership relations between the two countries and other documents during President Ilham Aliyev's state visit to China this April had raised the existing relations to a qualitatively new level.
Xinhua News Agency President Fu Hua noted that the organization he leads is interested in expanding international information relations and stressed that the development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in the media sector would be beneficial for both sides.
He said that Azerbaijan-China relations based on mutual friendship and trust have stood the test of time and are built on a solid foundation. Fu Hua emphasized that Xinhua and the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) have successfully cooperated in many areas in recent years, and noted that they support each other's media projects and regularly exchange news.
AZERTAC Chairman Board Vugar Aliyev stated that the agency he leads attaches special importance to the development of relations with Xinhua, noting that the agencies cooperate closely.
The meeting included a fruitful exchange of views on issues of mutual interest, and future steps to expand relations between the parties were discussed.
