"Anadolu" agency celebrates its 95th anniversary

Baku. 6 April. REPORT.AZ/ Today "Anatolia" Agency celebrates its 95th anniversary.

Report informs that the agency was founded on 6 April 1920 by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. At that time, Mustafa Kemal Pasha established this agency to report the fair sound of the liberation war in Anatolia to the country and the world.

A document on the establishment of "Anadolu" agency signed by Mustafa Kemal said: "All Rumelia and Anatolia faced with danger as a result of the occupation of the Islam's cradle- Ottoman center by the enemy. Taking into account of the need to deliver the events, national and sacred fights truly, "Anadolu" agency was established by the leadership and management of authorized persons."

The agency reported its first news on April 12, 1920.
