"Armenians held me as a captive for a year and nine months. In 1993, I was wounded by Armenians during their invasion into the Gubadli region," Habib Kazimov, a victim of Armenian torture told reporters, following the preliminary court hearing on the criminal case of the accused Armenian nationals Mkrtchyan Ludwig Mkrtichovich and Khosrovyan Alyosha Aramaisovich.
Kazimov said that Armenians beat him with rebars, iron sticks, and hammers:
"Both terrorists, who are standing before the court today, were directly involved in the torture. Both of them had nicknames there. One was known by the nickname 'Yoha' and the other 'Ayosha'. Ludwig Mkrtchyan was nicknamed 'Yoha'. He says here that he doesn't speak Azerbaijani, but he spoke Azerbaijani to us there. He even insulted us in our language."
Kazimov said there were about 40 Azerbaijanis in his ward: "Some died during the torture, and others committed suicide because they could not endure all that hell. I am glad that these terrorists have been arrested by our state and will be held responsible for their actions."
