Traveler from Sierra Leone: 'I will definitely return to Karabakh with my friends'

The rapid development of the region, which was devastated by war and thirty years of occupation, makes a very strong impression, a traveler from Sierra Leone Alisay Kamara told journalists in Karabakh, Report informs.

He is visiting Azerbaijan's liberated territories within a group of international travelers from the NomadMania club.

"My homeland is Sierra Leone in West Africa. Azerbaijan is the hundredth country I am visiting. And I am glad that we were invited here to see all this beauty," he said.

The traveler said that he witnessed the revival of Fuzuli, because alongside the new neighborhoods and school, the destruction that the city suffered during the years of occupation still remains. "And as we were told, you only started work in Fuzuli in 2021-2022. So such rapid pace of restoration is very impressive. I like everything you have done so far," he said.

Answering the question whether he had seen a similar scale of destruction in other countries, the visitor stated that it is indeed very tragic, he has never seen anything like this anywhere. And he expressed hope to return in the future.

"I think I will not only definitely come back here myself, but I will do it with many of my friends so that others can see all this beauty and development," Kamara noted.
