Speaker of Saeima: ‘I was glad to visit Azerbaijan’s Karabakh’

"I was glad to visit the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan," Speaker of the Saeima (Parliament of Latvia), Daiga Mieriņa said at a press conference in Baku, Report informs.

"It is a great pleasure for me to visit your beautiful country. I am very glad that yesterday we had the opportunity to visit Karabakh together with the chairman of the Latvian-Azerbaijani friendship group and the MPs of the Azerbaijani parliament and see with our own eyes the consequences of this very serious change in the history of Azerbaijan. We also visited the city of Shusha," she stressed.
