Russian expert: Perpetrators of Khojaly genocide must be punished

The Khojaly genocide is one of the worst tragedies in the history of Azerbaijan. This is a tragedy that unites and forces us to act together in order to achieve justice. Azerbaijan is doing everything possible to punish the perpetrators of this tragedy, Darya Grevtsova, Russian political expert and deputy director of the Institute for Political Studies, told the Russian bureau of Report.

"For the whole world, it is important to remember the Khojaly events, because the more people know about it, the more likely it is that this will not happen again in the future," the expert said.

According to her, all the perpetrators of this brutal genocide must bear their responsibility for their misdeeds.

“Naturally, Armenia itself could condemn this terrible event, which will be done in the future, since history always puts everything in its place," D. Grevtsova said.

She also stressed that it is always necessary to use, first of all, a peaceful, diplomatic way of solving problems through negotiations, and not the cruelties of war.
