Protest rally on Khankandi-Lachin road continues

Despite the freezing weather, a protest rally continues on the Khankandi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan, Report informs.

The participants of the peaceful rally are chanting slogans: ‘Azerbaijan is the owner of its mineral resources!’, ‘End environmental crimes!’, ‘Stop ecoterror!’, ‘Protect nature!’, ‘No to Ecocide! Yes to monitoring!’

The protest rally of Azerbaijani activists and members of environmental non-governmental organizations (NGOs) has been going on for the 16th day on the Khankandi-Lachin road passing by Shusha, near the checkpoint of Russian peacekeepers, demanding an end to environmental terror in the Karabakh economic region.
