Professor of ANAS: Historical monuments destroyed by Armenians in Aghdam will be restored soon

"Historical monuments destroyed by Armenians in Aghdam and other liberated territories will soon be restored," Head of the department of the Institute of History and Ethnography of ANAS, doctor of historical sciences, professor Arif Mammadov told journalists during the visit of representatives of the Interdepartmental Center under the Coordination Headquarters for the centralized settlement of issues to Aghdam to resolve issues in the liberated territories.

Karabakh Bureau of Report quotes him as saying that every work done, every visit to Karabakh is crucial for us.

"Because most of our historical and cultural monuments, including the Imarat Cemetery in Karabakh, have been destroyed. The primary purpose of our visit is to restore the former appearance of the Imarat Cemetery and carry out restoration work. So, a visit was organized to the area. Of course, we will carry out restoration work in the cemetery and soon turn it into a place of pilgrimage," he said.
