Prime Minister of Belarus visits Aghdam Industrial Park

Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin visited the Aghdam Industrial Park during his official trip to Azerbaijan.

According to a Report correspondent in Aghdam, the Belarusian head of government familiarized himself with the park’s operations and its resident businesses.

Currently, 27 business entities are residents of the park, with another 5 listed as non-residents.

Total investments in the park's projects are estimated at $148 million, expected to create over 2,100 jobs. So far, $66 million has already been invested, and 649 jobs have been created.

At present, 9 enterprises are operational within the park, and construction of over 10 more enterprises is underway.

The Aghdam Industrial Park was established by a presidential decree on May 28, 2021.

Key sectors prioritized in the park include the production of construction materials, packaging of agricultural products, fruit and vegetable canning, meat and dairy production, animal feed, fertilizers, as well as the development of service facilities and cold storage units, among others.

The park covers an area of 190 hectares, with more than 70% of the land already allocated to entrepreneurs.
