In the post-war period, when Azerbaijan was talking about peace, Armenia illegally continued to deliver mines and weapons to Karabakh, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Community Anastasia Lavrina told journalists.
According to Report, the representatives of the local Russian community arrived today at the site of the protest on the Khankandi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of the natural deposits in this area.
"Today we personally joined this action demanding to stop the looting of deposits with the subsequent export of the looted to Armenia. This is our land, Karabakh is the territory of Azerbaijan recognized by the whole world and those who are trying to condemn our actions, let them ask themselves, would they allow illegal exploitation and destruction of the environment in their territories? Of course not," Lavrina said.
She also added that the action of eco-activists has been going on for more than 50 days and the Lachin road is open for the transportation of humanitarian and supply cargoes, as well as the movement of civilian vehicles.
She noted that the Russian community now sees the situation with its own eyes. "By participating in this action, we will also not allow the illegal use of the Lachin road. In the post-war period, when Azerbaijan was talking about peace, Armenia illegally continued to deliver mines and weapons to Karabakh, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed. Mines were subsequently planted by saboteurs in the liberated territories Azerbaijan. This led to new victims," she said.
