Ilham Aliyev declares 2022 as "Year of Shusha"

President Ilham Aliyev has declared 2022 as the "Year of Shusha" in his address to the Azerbaijani people on the occasion of December 31 - the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year, Report informs.
The head of state said: "We will celebrate the 270th anniversary of Shusha in 2022. Panahali khan laid the foundation of Shusha in 1752, and we will celebrate this anniversary with great solemnity in the new year. Taking into consideration this glorious history and so as to accelerate the restoration of Shusha, I declare the new year as the "Year of Shusha."
