Harry Mitsidis: Traveler with fear inside cannot properly promote peace

Travelers also bear a great responsibility in establishing and strengthening peace in the world, according to Harry Mitsidis, the head of the NomadMania travelers club, Report informs.

Speaking at Karabakh University in Khankandi, Mitsidis commended the rapid reconstruction work being carried out in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories: "Today we represent 30 countries from six continents here. I would like to note that I am pleased to come to Karabakh and be in Khankandi. Here, as well as in Fuzuli and Shusha, we saw traces of the bitter realities of war. However, the rapidly ongoing reconstruction work here is gratifying. The situation we have witnessed gives us reason to say that the world needs peace."

Mitsidis emphasized that travelers play a major role in promoting peace in the world: "I come to the conclusion that travelers have a great role in spreading peace throughout the world. Travelers who promote peace in the world are people who do not know what fear is. The promotion of peace is such an issue that you should not be hopeless in this work. If you are hesitant and afraid on this path, then you cannot properly promote people's sense of freedom and steps toward peace."

He noted that a true traveler should have a tolerant attitude toward differences: "I also want to talk about tolerance, which is synonymous with the concept of peace. Tolerance is a true traveler's approach to different people and cultures with the right mindset."
