A delegation of more than 30 Club 100 travelers got acquainted with the demining process in Azerbaijan’s Horadiz, Report informs.
The guests were informed about the mine danger and the mine clearance process in the liberated Azerbaijani territories.
It was noted that 29,000 square meters of the territory were cleared of mines, and this process continues. Mine clearance is carried out using specially trained dogs, as well as special equipment. And the maps of minefields provided by Armenia are only 20% accurate, which complicates the demining process.
The travelers were also shown the process of blowing up found mines and unexploded ordnance.
A delegation of more than 30 travelers from the Club 100 organization arrived in Karabakh and East Zangazur on May 11. Travelers arriving from Sweden will visit the liberated territories of Azerbaijan in three days, where they will get acquainted with the destruction committed by Armenia during the occupation, as well as with the progress of restoration work.
Over the past two years, representatives of the main international travel clubs - ETIC, MTP, TCC, NomadMania and the Turkish Travel Club have visited Karabakh and East Zangazur. This trip is the 7th one.
This trip is important for raising awareness in the world about the situation in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation as part of “dark tourism.”
