British professor: I was impressed by how Shusha is being rebuilt

The pace of restoration of the city of Shusha and other liberated territories of Azerbaijan is impressive, Report informs that Professor Rick Fawn of University of St. Andrews, participant in the international conference "South Caucasus: Development and Cooperation", said.
The British professor shared his impressions of the trip to the city of Shusha, where the first day of this conference took place on April 28.
"This is an important moment in the history and for the South Caucasus region. I was very impressed by Shusha. We saw how everything is being rebuilt, we saw the future plan of cities. I was also impressed by the innovations and technologies that are used in the restoration."
Rick Fawn also stressed that during the trip they learned a lot about the demining process in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
"In this regard, international cooperation is needed, this is a very sensitive issue for people."
He added that he was impressed by today's speech of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at a meeting with the conference participants.
"It was a very important session, the president outlined everything precisely and clearly, not only on the situation in the South Caucasus, but also on relations with neighboring countries and with other countries of the world.”
