Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, presented a report at the summit "Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities" in Uzbekistan, Report informs, citing the Center.
In his speech entitled "Zangazur Corridor: Geoeconomic Revolution," Gasimli said that the "Zangazur Corridor" increases the opportunities for diversification on the East-West route. Therefore, the countries of Southeast and Central Asia and the European Union are interested in the implementation of the Zangazur Corridor. Moreover, the Zangazur Corridor plays a vital role in diversifying the North-South route. Besides being short, the corridor is also important in terms of saving time and resources.
The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, foreign ministers and senior representatives of Central and South Asian countries and other foreign countries, heads of influential international and regional organizations, global financial institutions and companies, and leading research and think tanks attend the conference.
