Bosporus transit fee for Azerbaijani vessels increased

The Turkish government will increase the Bosporus transit fee in Istanbul from October 1.
Report informs, referring to the foreign press, that this decision also applies to Azerbaijani ships.
Mehman Mehdiyev, head of the press service of Azerbaijan Caspian Sea Shipping CJSC (ASCO), confirmed the fact to Report:
"Yes, we have been officially notified of the price increase. If, until now, we were paying $2,500 for a 5,000-ton dry cargo vessel, starting next month, this figure will be $5,000."
