Turkish Ministry of Trade: Ankara Declaration to promote development of regional transportation projects

The Ankara Declaration, which will be signed following today's ministerial meeting between Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, will contribute to the development of transportation projects in the region, Turkish Minister of Trade Omer Bolat said at the 2nd trilateral meeting of Foreign Affairs, Economy (Trade), and Transport Ministers of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, Report informs.

He emphasized that economic, trade, and investment ties between the countries have grown significantly in recent years. "Our countries possess great economic potential that needs to be utilized. It is important that the unshakeable brotherly bonds are reflected in trade and economic cooperation, which will contribute to the economic well-being of our peoples," he said.

Bolat noted that the dynamics of global trade and transport routes have been rapidly changing in recent years, which has once again demonstrated to the world the strategic importance of Central Asia and the Caucasus region.

"Regional transport routes, including the Middle and Zangazur corridors, will contribute to the economic development of the three countries and Asia's integration with Europe. The Ankara Declaration, which we intend to sign following today's meeting, will facilitate the development of these projects and deepen trade and economic ties between Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye. Ankara, in turn, will remain committed to implementing all obligations undertaken within the agreements," he said.

Bolat also reminded that within this trilateral platform, a trade and investment business forum with the participation of entrepreneurs from the three countries started today in Ankara, aimed at developing trade cooperation.
