Türkiye's State Railways subsidiary, TCDD Tasimacilik A.Ş, has pledged to intensify efforts to increase freight transport along the Middle Corridor and further strengthen its collaboration with Azerbaijan, said Ufuk Yalcin, the company's General Director and Chairman of the Board, Report informs.
Yalcin made the remark at a consultative meeting of railway administration heads in Baku on establishing the Eurasian Transport Route International Association.
"With the support of the railways of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, China, and Austria, with whom we closely cooperate, our efforts will yield positive results for all interested parties," Yalcin stated.
He emphasized, “We are tirelessly working to maximize the opportunities and benefits of Türkiye’s strategic geographical position as a bridge between Asia and Europe.”
