Sapar Bektasov: Transportation time in Middle Corridor should be further reduced

The Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route) is becoming important and popular, Sapar Bektasov, Director of the Department of Transport Policy, Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, said at a regional event on the Middle Corridor held in Georgia, Report informs.

He said that from the beginning of 2022, some financial institutions and international organizations are conducting various studies on the Middle Corridor: "The World Bank has also prepared a report on the Middle Corridor. We are constantly monitoring these recommendations. The consensus of the entire transport community is that transport times should be further reduced, digital technology should be used, and fixed fares should be introduced by creating a unified service."
