Russia increases number of flights to Azerbaijan

The number of flights from Russia to Azerbaijan has increased, Report informs, citing the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya).
On the eve of the summer season, the Agency issued 53 permits for Russian aircraft to fly abroad. The flights are implemented to neighboring countries, primarily the Caucasus and Central Asia. In the previous years, most flights were carried out to European resorts, even to Italy, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The flights from Russia to Azerbaijan are carried out by Utair, Ir Aero, Aeroflot, and Rossiya Airlines.
Russia lifted COVID restrictions on flights to Azerbaijan on March 9.
The list of tourist countries includes Turkiye, Thailand, Vietnam, and others.
