Cargo transportation along the Middle Corridor will be carried out exclusively using green energy, chairman of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) Rovshan Rustamov told journalists, according to Report.
He said this will become possible thanks to a decarbonization project implemented jointly with the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
"An ADB mission, which expressed preliminary agreement to allocate an additional grant for railways under the decarbonization program, has recently been in Baku. Thanks to this, we will ensure cargo transportation along the Middle Corridor using almost 100% green energy," Rustamov emphasized.
