Passenger traffic on Baku-Sumgait trains grows 41%

In January-September 2023, passenger traffic on high-speed passenger trains Baku-Sumgait-Baku reached 4.686 million people, Report informs with reference to Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.

This is 41% more than in the same period last year.

In addition, during the reporting period, the joint-stock company transported 229,322 passengers from the capital to the regions and back (an increase of 31%), however, international transportation was not carried out due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
