Nigar Alimova: Legalization of houses on agricultural lands in Absheron is a priority for authorities

The issue of legalizing undocumented houses built on agricultural lands in Absheron is a priority for the authorities in Azerbaijan, Nigar Alimova, Chairperson of the State Cadastre and Real Estate Registry Service, told journalists.

According to Report, she noted that a significant number of such houses are located in Khirdalan and the settlement of Hokmali. In some cases, these properties have municipal documents; however, many residential areas are officially classified as agricultural lands.

Alimova added that the process of documenting properties in areas with large-scale individual housing construction on the Absheron Peninsula will only be possible after the land categories are changed in accordance with the law.

"The registration of property rights in areas where individual residential houses are located will be carried out after the necessary amendments are made to the legislation," the head of the Service emphasized.
